Surgical Treatment of Cystic Neoplasms of the Pancreas
In the paper we represent our experience of treatment of 114 patients with cystic neoplasms of the pancreas. Nowadays preoperative diagnosis of this pathology is unreliable and could not provide information about malignancy of the process pre- and intraoperatively. We had developed and proved therapeutic and diagnostic tactics in patients with cystic neoplasms of the pancreas: the presence of mucinous cystic neoplasms is an absolute indication for surgery due to the inability to exclude malignancy, serous cystic tumors are subject to either observation or surgery with maximum preservation of pancreatic parenchyma.
