Experience of Successful Surgical Treatment of Giant Paravertebral Lipoma in a Child aged 1 Year 3 Months

There is shown the result of removing a giant lipoma in a child aged 1 year 3 months. The tumor was located in the soft tissues of the back, from the interscapular region to the lumbar one, more to the left, it was located in the retroperitoneal space and grew into the lumen of the spinal canal, compressing the medullary cone and its roots. The tumor was removed totally by one stage. During the 1.5 years of observation there is no recurrence.
